What is Vibrational Healing?

Mind/Body medicine is becoming more mainstream as we collectively realize that health involves more than lack of disease. Holistic therapies are gaining popularity among the masses and this magazine is proof of that expansion! I feel grateful to teach and practice Vibrational Healing as it pushes forward this new and empowering paradigm.

The foundation for a clear mind and healthy body comes from acknowledging that we are vibrational and knowing how to live within the higher frequencies. To fully understand why this is, one must grasp the basic meaning of vibration.

Have you ever heard it said that everything is energy? Well from a physics perspective, that is actually true. Everything in the universe on a fundamental level is a collection of tiny vibrating particles of energy. Everything we perceive is made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which are made up of tiny particles that contain an invisible force (what we call ENERGY) that causes them to circle around one another very quickly. The rate of speed in which the particles circle around each other, or vibrate, is known as vibrational frequency and it is measurable. For our purposes, vibration and energy are inter-changeable terms because energy is the invisible force that causes/incites the vibration.

Physical matter, sound, heat and light in actuality are ALL vibration, or different molecular expressions of energy. Even Eisenstein said everything is vibration. This includes our thoughts, and they have the highest frequency of all. Yes, our thoughts can be measured and they vibrate on a level too high (or fast) to be perceived through our five senses. (I recommend watching the movies “The Secret” and “What the Bleep Do We Know?” as they discuss this in a fun and accessible way).

So, the foundation of everything in our universe (including our cells and thoughts) is vibrating energy, that energy can be measured as frequency, and some frequencies are higher than others. Why is this helpful for YOU to know?

Because as we go farther down the vibrational scale (molecules that resonate more slowly) we find fungus, bacteria, yeast, viruses and even cancer cells. Lower frequencies cannot thrive within a high frequency environment. Simply put, if we can keep the frequency of our bodies high enough (meaning our cells literally vibrating faster) we can ward off disease.

Essential oils work on this premise; the energetic frequency of the oils are very high (fast moving) and when applied to our bodies, they create an environment within us that is less susceptible to dis-ease. Homeopathic remedies work in a similar fashion.

Keeping a high vibration allows for greater levels of health and it starts in our mind. The body is a direct reflection of the mind. That is so because a thought is vibration and the frequency we emit with that thought will cause our cells to resonate to (or match) it. As humans we are chronic thinkers and all day every day our cells are exposed to the frequency of those thoughts.

It stands to reason that we should consciously choose the higher, healthier thought vibrations. What is a high vibrational thought? What is so fascinating is that what we consider positive emotions have a higher frequency and negative emotions are of a lower frequency. All we need to do is be aware of the quality of our thoughts – based on how they make us feel – and choose the ones that feels good.

That choice will raise your frequency and allow you to experience the health benefits that come with it. These include increased immunity, alkalization of the body, ‘happy’ hormone release, nervous system balancing and even relieving of tension in muscles. Yes, all of these benefits and so much more have been shown to occur in studies as a result of positive thought. To clarify, the high vibrational emotions feel like connection, harmony, inspiration, flow and love. The low frequency experience feels like struggle, irritation, jealousy and fear.

Categorizing thoughts as vibrational signals may seem odd to you, but unconsciously you have always been aware of them. When you sense a person’s mood or pick up on a ‘vibe’ in a room, it is actually the “vibrational” signals you are tuned into.

Now that you understand your vibrational nature, here are a my suggestions to keep your frequency up:

  • Live Clean: Eat local/organic foods, drink clean water, and use chemical-free body and cleaning products. This keeps the bodies’ toxic load low.
  • Think good thoughts: Simply create a habit of reaching for thoughts that inspire good feeling emotions and your frequency will rise.
  • Meditate: Quieting the mind and developing relationship to self can make it easier to change patterns that don’t support you.
  • Exercise: Running, hiking and yoga (or any other form of exercise that you enjoy) help keep your meridians open and increase your vibrational health.
  • Sound Healing: High frequency music (such as the Solfeggio Tones) creates cellular resonance and is incredibly powerful.
  • Receive a Vibrational Healing session: Treatments will allow you to experience the clear mind and physical well-being of higher frequencies and teach you how to maintain them.

I hope this basic understanding of vibration is helpful and I recommend learning about the work of The Heart Math Institute and finding Gregg Braden on you-tube (and reading all of his books). You will find this information very valuable in creating health in all the areas of your life.
